A cross-section of women from Uromi community in Edo State on Wednesday, took to the street s to protest against Fulani herdsmen living in the State.
In a viral video on Wednesday, the women were seen carrying placards and calling for the end of killings of farmers in Edo by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
They insisted Fulani herdsmen must leave the state, saying they no longer go to farm due to rape and other brutal acts committed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The women also claimed that they now live in constant fear of thugs and that the herdsmen have taken over all the surrounding forests and bushes in the area, their farmlands and all farm produce have been destroyed.
There have been calls on the federal government to ban open cattle rearing and so far, there has been no reaction from the State government.
