Buhari’s new ADC, Yusuf Dodo, resumes duty

President Muhammadu Buhari’s new Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Lt. Col. Yusuf Muktar Dodo officially resumed duty on Monday.

Dodo, who hails from Katsina Local Government Area of Katsina State, was appointed in January following the nomination of Mohammed Abubakar, the outgoing ADC, for a five-month strategic and defence course, which is a prerequisite for his next promotion to the rank of a brigadier-general.

The course is scheduled to run from March 8 till July 30, 2021, in Santiago, Chile.

The handover ceremony took place in Abuja after Dodo understudied Abubakar for almost three weeks to learn what is expected of his new position.

Before his nomination, Dodo was the adjutant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.

He is to attend to the personal needs of the president and other matters regarding his functions as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and also liaise with other agencies to provide security for the President and his family.
