Former Vice President and the People’s Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, got vaccinated with the Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine yesterday, January 6, 2021 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
This was revealed in a tweet by Dele Momodu a media personality who shared pictures of Atiku receiving the jab.

Momodu captioned the picture as, “Former Vice President, The Wazirin Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, receives Pfizer COVID-19 jab vaccination.”
Atiku’s spokesman, Paul Ibe confirming the news said, “The importance of the #COVID19 vaccine in mitigating the effect of the coronavirus cannot be overstated, particularly in Africa and Nigeria. Yesterday (Wednesday), as part of the mass vaccination programme, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.”
The Pfizer’s vaccine has been hailed for its 95 per cent effectiveness at preventing symptomatic cases of COVID-19 if administered in its full two-dose regimen.
