We bombed heart of Sambisa forest, killed Boko Haram insurgents- DHQ

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has said that the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole bombed the heart of Sambisa forest and reportedly killed many Boko Haram insurgents during air strikes in Borno state.

The DHQ spokesperson, John Enenche, in a statement on Tuesday, said the troops bombed the “S” region in the heart of Sambisa forest on Monday, neutralized several terrorists and destroyed their hideout.

A 53 seconds footage released by the Military showed the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole dropping bombs on target locations in the forest.

In the statement titled, ‘Air Task Force destroys hideout, neutralizes several terrorists in Sambisa Forest, Borno State’, the DHQ stated that the Air Task Force has continued to deal decisive blows on terrorist elements in the North-East region of the country.

“The NAF attack aircraft engaged the target area in successive passes, leading to the destruction of some of their structures and logistics stores, including a suspected anti-aircraft gun station as the terrorists fired at the NAF aircraft. Several insurgents were also neutralized in the process,” it said.
