It has been reported that the Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli, who ascended the royal stool of Warri Kingdom on December 12, 2015 has passed on barely a week after the grand finale of his fifth coronation anniversary celebration.
The late Olu of Warri was 65years before his passage.
According to reports, shops and offices in the Warri royal palace vicinity were shut down as people were seen in groups discussing the passage of the Monarch.
A source who prefers to be anonymous said the Olu of Warri recently received in the royal palace the late Major-General Olu Irefin whose death was attributed to COVID-19.
Sources however said that the monarch was lively and did not show any sign of illness as he received well wishers who came to pay royal homage during his coronation anniversary less than a week ago.
