PDP Chairman Uche Secondus chides Buhari for keeping silent in face of ravaging crises across the country with several already dead and property worth billions of dollars destroyed

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairman, Uche Secondus, has announced that the continued silence of the President, Muhammadu Buhari, in the face of the killings of innocent citizens and the ensuing violence was no longer golden.

Secondus made this remark during a press briefing at the National Headquarters of the PDP on Thursday.

He said it is sad that the President who has the responsibility of providing leadership in times of crisis has exhibited a lack of capacity.

According to Secondus: “the President has so far kept mum” amidst this crisis. He insisted that Nigerians, more than ever before, wants to hear the President speak to them.

“Mr President please speak to Nigerians, speak to your children,” he said.

Widespread violence and arson have rocked major cities like Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Benin, Akure, Osogbo, Jos, amongst others in the past few days.

Suspected criminals hijacked the #EndSARS protests against police brutality and extrajudicial killings earlier in the week causing pandemonium in several parts of the country.

Many bank branches, police stations, shopping malls, car marts, government buildings and private establishments have been burnt down by angry Nigerians.
