Following the recent upsurge in violence across the country in the wake of the #ENDSARS protests, Nigeria’s minster of state for Mines and Steel Development, Uchechukwu Ogah, has advised youths in the south eastern part of the country to stay clear of any action that could trigger another round of catastrophic civil disturbances as witnessed during the Biafran War.
The minister gave the admonition while addressing the people of Abia State during a special non-partisan stakeholders’ town hall meeting in Umuahia on Monday.
He explained that the meeting was convened at the instance of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The industrialist turned politician opined that emotions do not win wars.
He appealed to the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, to go for an inclusive government in order to unite the people of the state.
