Angry Nigerians invade the Ibadan home of Teslim Folarin, cart away motorcycles, freezers and furniture estimated at N250 million

Angry Nigerians have invaded the Ibadan home of the former senator representing Oyo Central in the National Assembly, Teslim Folarin, carting away valuables including brand new motorcycles, freezers, grinding machines, television sets and similar items.

The senator’s aide told the press that his principal is out of the country but estimated the value of items removed from the house at about N250 million.

The aide told TheCable: “I can confirm to you that senator Folarin’s house in Oluyole estate area of Ibadan was invaded this morning by hoodlums. They took away items worth N250 million. It was daylight robbery. We could not engage them so they had a field day. The senator was not at the property when the looting happened. It is sad this is happening.”

Folarin is the latest Nigerian VIP to suffer attacks from angry Nigerians  who have targeted prominent figures including known politicians and royal fathers across various parts of the country.

On Friday, a warehouse where COVID-19 palliatives were kept in Ibadan was looted by hoodlums, with more than 1,000 bags of rice and other food items stolen.

The Oba of Lagos, and the Soun of Ogbomoso are some of the traditional rulers already visited by the angry mobs.
