Another building collapses has occurred in Lagos with several residents be trapped inside according to eye witnesses. The building, a three-storey structure located opposite Health Centre along Cemetery Road, collapsed in the Ebute Metta area of the city at round 2 pm on Friday.
Emergency workers are actively working to rescue the trapped victims and offer assistance to the injured.
There are no official statements yet from the Lagos State Government. Several buildings have collapsed in the commercial capital of Nigeria in recent years with experts attributing the problem to the use of inferior building materials, poor structural designs and the activities of unqualified building contractors.
