More Headache For Geoffrey Onyeama As Nigerian Embassy In Indonesia Is Attacked By Angry Nigerians

More troubles for the Federal government as the Nigerian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia has reportedly been attacked by furious Nigerian citizens.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama released a statement condemning the act and vowed that perpetrators would be identified and punished accordingly.

Onyeama said, “Absolutely deplorable and disgraceful criminal behaviour by Nigerian hooligans, who without justification, attacked the Nigerian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia today.”

The minister described the action as “totally unacceptable.”

“Every effort will be made to identify them and see they are severely punished,’’ he said in a tweet.

This attack comes a week after the demolition of building belonging to the Nigerian Embassy in Ghana. The demolition was carried out by a Ghanaian businessman who claimed the building was on his land.

However, the issue was resolved after profuse apologies from the Ghanaian government and the promise to rebuild the demolished part of the Nigerian High Commission building.
