Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state who is receiving treatment for COVID-19 at an undisclosed facility in Abuja has has moved to calm anxiety over his health conditions.
Speaking through one of his media aides, Enyinnaya Apollos, the governor assured Abians that there is nothing to worry about.
Ikpeazu, according his aide, asked his team to carry on with the governance of the state as he looked forward to returning soon.
John Okiyi Kalu, the state’s commissioner for information announced on Monday that Ikpeazu had tested positive for the coronavirus and has been in isolation since submitting his sample.
Ude Oko Chukwu, the state’s deputy governor is currently controlling the affairs of governance in Umuahia.
