Reports reaching our desk indicate that the national executive committee (NEC) meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is ongoing in Aso Rock.
The meeting was declared open at around 12 noon.
In attendance are President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the house of representatives, and about 15 state governors.
The meeting was called by Victor Giadom, deputy national secretary of the party who was yesterday recognized by the president as the acting national chairman of the party following the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole.
