The victory of Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the governorship candidate of the ruling APC in the recently concluded party primaries in Edo has been ratified by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party in a meeting currently going on at the presidential palace in Abuja.
The NEC had earlier dissolved the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and inaugurated the Yobe state governor as the chairman of the party’s caretaker committee. President Muhammadu Buhari who is attending with the vice president, senate president and speaker of the house of representatives called for an end to all litigation involving the party leadership, stating that such legal disputes are affecting the APC.
