Information reaching our desk has it that the coast is now clear for Edo Governor, Godwin Obaseki to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the September 19 governorship election in the state following the withdrawal of Kenneth Imasuagbon, his lone challenger for the ticket.
Obaseki is believed to have earned the endorsement of the national leadership of the PDP and several governors elected under the party within the south- south region.
It is now certain that Obaseki will again square off against Osagie Ize-Iyamu who was his opponent in the 2016 race. However, the duo will switch camp with Obaseki flying PDP’s flag in the race while his opponent runs on the APC ticket.
