The 10-year long insurgency in the north east continues to ravage the area as the leader
of Boko haram, Abubakar Shekau insists that his members will not stop fighting until their
last breaths.
The leader of the insurgents made this revelation in response to a message by the Borno
state governor, Babagana Zulum who said the insurgents were tired of fighting and urged
them to embrace the government’s amnesty through the ‘safe corridor’ programme.
After months of silence, the insurgents are making this declaration in light of the military’s
demand to end insurgency in 3 months if they are provided with helicopters.
