The stand-in captain of the Super Eagles, William Troost-Ekong has hailed the team’s performance in their draw against Brazil in Singapore.
Joe Aribo, who won a second cap, had on the 35th minute latched on Moses Simon’s pass to shock the Selecao. The Eagles held on to the lead till the end of the first half.
Three minutes into the second half, Casimero pounced on a loose ball in the Eagles to equalize for Brazil.
All efforts by the Samba Boys to snatch a winner proved abortive as the Eagles defence marshaled by Troost-Ekong was equal to the task.
Troost-Ekong took to his twitter handle @WTroostEkong after the match to express his delight at the performance of his teammates.
