The Labour Party, LP, has issued a warning to Enugu State lawmakers considering defection to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, threatening to declare their seats vacant.
Enugu State LP Chairman, Casmir Agbo, made this threat in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
There are reports of ongoing political maneuvers among members of the House of Assembly (HOA) to switch allegiance to the ruling PDP, which currently controls the State government following the March 18 gubernatorial election.
Agbo stated,” We are aware of the antics of some LP members of HOA who want to decamp to PDP. Their seats will be declared vacant.”
