President Bola Tinubu has expressed his admiration for the business initiative taken by Dangote Oil and Gas Limited in lowering the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), or diesel.
The company has reduced the gantry price from ₦1,650 to ₦1,000 per litre for a minimum of one million litres of the product, and is also offering a discount of ₦30 per litre for an offtake of five million litres and above. This represents a significant decrease of 60%, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the prices of various goods and services.
Tinubu emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between public and private entities for the advancement of the nation. He acknowledged that the federal government has a 20% stake in Dangote Refinery, and expressed his hope that Nigerians and businesses would prioritize the nation’s interests during this time of reduced prices.
He also assured them of a favorable, safe, and secure environment for their operations.
