Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has announced that the rescued Kuriga school students will receive free education under his foundation. Additionally, he pledged to reconstruct the LEA primary and government secondary schools in Kuriga and improve basic infrastructure in the community.
During a meeting with the children at the Government House, Governor Sani assured them that their education would not be affected by the kidnapping incident. He emphasized that adequate security measures have been implemented in Kuriga to ensure the safety of residents. Furthermore, the governor disclosed a donation of N10 million to the family of the deceased head teacher, Abubakar Isah, and offered scholarships to his children up to the university level.
Governor Sani expressed gratitude to the children for their patience and resilience during the ordeal, highlighting the psychological support provided to them by psychologists, doctors, and nurses. He confirmed that all 137 children would benefit from his foundation’s free education initiative and emphasized his commitment to supporting the community and the affected families.
