Ojota Crisis: Normalcy restored after Monday unrest

Normalcy has been reportedly restored at the Ojota area of Lagos State after reported unrest involving suspected Yoruba Nation agitators Monday.

On Monday morning, videos surfaced online displaying civil unrest in the Ojota area of Lagos state, Nigeria.

The Lagos State Command Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed that one person died and two police men were shot during the unrest as agitators and police allegedly clashed at the location where the agitators converged for a rally.

Hundeyin made the confirmation via a series of tweets on his official Twitter page.

Meanwhile, Aareonakakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams, has dismissed the news that members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) was involved in the crisis.
