118 stranded Nigerians return back to Nigeria from Libya

118 stranded Nigerians were, on Wednesday, successfully repatriated back to Nigeria from Libya.

Recall that some Nigerians had a few months ago cried out for help via social media that they were stranded in Libya.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission tweeted on its official Twitter handle that the returnees arrived in the country at about 1:30 am, and they will be quarantined at the Federal Capital Territory Hajj camp for two weeks in line with COVID 19 protocols.

The tweet reads: “118 Returnees, 51 Males, 41 Females, 17 Children, and 9 Infants stranded Nigerians in Libya just arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 1:30 am local time today 17th March 2021 via Buraq Air.

The returnees will be quarantined at the Federal Capital Territory Hajj camp for 14 days in line with the new COVID-19 protocols by the Presidential Task Force on COVID 19.”
