The former of Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has been released on administrative bail, after spending two nights in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC).
Okorocha, who was arrested on Tuesday, was released yesterday after being grilled by the anti-graft agency for alleged misappropriation of state funds to the tune of N7.9 billion.
Reports say the EFCC had to vary the bail terms before Senator Okorocha could meet the terms and was eventually released.
A source in the agency said the former Governor would have another date with the agency but did not reveal when.
Okorocha’s release was confirmed by the EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwajaren, but he declined to give details on the matter.
