Thugs numbering about 700 of them have unleashed mayhem on residents of Wesley College area of Ibadan, Oyo state. According to reports, one person has been confirmed dead and a large number of others injured.
The President of Soludero Hunters Association, Oba Wahab Ajijola Anabi, gave this information while speaking to newsmen in Ibadan on Tuesday.
“A man was killed at Kosodo area. He was stabbed to death. They were about 700 hoodlums invited from neighbouring streets. They used pistols, animal bones, bottles and clubs to stab and wound people” he said.
It is reported the hoodlums have taken over Labo, Orita Aperin, Elekuro, Kosodo, Oranyan areas of Ibadan and are armed with dangerous weapons such as rifles, bottles, pistols, nails, and clubs amongst others to inflict harm on civilians.
It is unclear who invited the angry thugs and what their grievances are.
