kano State Govt react To Video Of Governor Ganduje Allegedly Taking Bribe

Commissioner for Information in the state, Muhammad Garba,in a statement, stated that the video was “cloned, doctored, disjointed” and that it was deliberately released to “affect the anticipated quantum of APC votes from Kano in 2019”. He Further states that,the Kano state government has decided to file a criminal case against the online publication and its publisher on defamation of character after it released a clone and doctored video footage mischievously portraying Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje involved in Allegedly taking bribe.

Buhari Travel Ban Includes Governors And Ex-Ministers

President Muhammadu Buhari has put a international travel ban on 50 persons. This list includes 13 former governors and seven former ministers. Those in the list are facing corruption trials.

The Presidency has denied issuing a list of Nigerians affected by a travel ban as it also clarified that the Executive Order is not a political weapon against opposition but part of revolutionary efforts to rid Nigeria of corruption. Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity,said this in reaction to the trail of criticisms over the implementation of the EO6 by the federal government.
