Both Chambers of the National Assembly on Tuesday adjourned its plenary to Wednesday in honor of a member of the House of Representatives, Yuguda Hassan-Kila, who died five days ago.
The deceased, who was the Chairman of the House Committee on Customs and Excise, died from an undisclosed illness at the National Hospital last Thursday.
Hassan-Kila, until his death, represented Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the House.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, described him as a perfect gentleman who was loved by all, saying his loss was painful.
He regretted that the House lost two members from Jigawa State in one year.
Hassan-Kila was a member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and was serving in the House of Representative for the second time.
